Checklist: Original Appearances
- The Aardvarkian Age: by Michael Loubert (Dave's Ex-wife's brother). I can only find four installments of this column: issues #16, 17, 19 and 20. Issue #18 has a map of Palnu. A one page column that goes into detail about various things in Cerebus. Very insightful. These were only reprinted in the Cerebus Bi-Weeklys as far as I know.
- Aardvark Vanaheim in 3D: (one shot) "Cerebus Dreams" a 3D story.Here is the back cover.
- Anything Goes #3: Cerebus cover by Neal Adams. A short 3 page story of Cerebus breaking up with Michelle (the first one, not the countess) in "Breaking Up is Hard to Do."
- The Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom: featured a single full page of the Silverspoon comics. early 1980's. Sim does a bi-weekly strip called "Silverspoon" in which Cerebus appears. The first appearances of Lord Julius and his son. Sets the stage for Cerebus #14-16, the Palnu Trilogy. Later reprinted.

- Cerebus #7: Misprint. This cover has no blue on it, and the inside front cover is blank. Confirmed by Dave as a misprint. Unknown the number copies.
- Cerebus #40: Has an "Unique Story" (a back-up feature) by Dave Sim entitled "Goat". In it Lord Julius takes the goat to see the Abbess of Goody Abbey. Very funny in a Groucho kind of way. This was reprinted in all printings of the High Society phonebook and in the "biweekly" reprint series for issue #40.
- Cerebus #52: A back-up story entitled "Elfguest".
- Cerebus Jam: one shot. Stories by various different creators, including Dave Sim.
- Cerebus in Hell: B&W with color covers; published by Aardvark-Vanaheim. All of the comics have different titles. I'm putting them on the checklist under the header of 'Cerebus in Hell' so they can be found easily.

- Cerebus The Newsletter #2: April / June 1981; 6 page original Cerebus story entitled "Passage" which happened between issues 3 and 4, written and drawn by Dave in 1978. Reprinted.
- Comic Buyer's Guide #977: Aug 7 1992, Krause Publications. "The Challenge" a never before printed Cerebus 7 page story, which is in rough pencils and script format only. This issue also has an article about Cerebus/Sim that was written by Neil Gaiman.

- #16: "Arnold the Isshurian" A spoof of both Little Nemo and Conan. Arnold was a minor character in High Society (a barbarian mercenary.)
- #26:"His First Fifth." A 9 page story by Dave and Gerhard of Cerebus' first experience with alcohol.
- #28:"A Friendly Reminder." Cerebus' days as a tax collector.
- #30:"Selling Insurance." A 2 page story of young Cererbus entering the extortion trade. Also a 3 page story of young Cerebus getting his first crush on a girl in "The Girl Next Door."
- #32:"Ages of Cerebus." A portolio of 5 plates on 3 pages of Cerebus: The Barbarian, The Candidate, Young Cerebus, Most Holy and ...Cerebus the Samurai?!?
- Nucleus #1: An adult fanzine from Heiro-Graphic Publications in May 1979. Has a four page story entitled "Demonhorn." The story fits in between issues #5 & 6. Later reprinted.
