Busy December

December 24th, 2010

And it is almost over already. Amazing.

6 Bruins games, skating on the Boston Bruin’s home ice at the TD Garden, a trip to New Jersey, meeting the Bruins Captain, a trip to RI to see a movie and have dinner with a good friend. . .The list goes on and on. Doing all that stuff gives me no time blog about it all. . .

I managed to snag myself an awesome Cerebus related Christmas present for myself with the finding of a Cerebus Pewter statue that had a buy it now of $125:

On the bottom left foot is the stamp of the manufacturer, Doghouse Productions, who solicited the pewter statue in Cerebus issue #215 for $49.95 limited to a run of 1,000 pieces. Beside that stamp is the number of the statue itself, in this case, #0009:

One of the other cool Cerebus items I found on eBay was the Four More Years campaign poster set – it even came with the original mailing tube, which was a nice unexpected surprise.  The poster set is a bunch of 11″ x 17″ glossy paper prints with various artwork and lettering on both sides to be used by the store in the Four More Years promotion campaign.  Two of those 11″ x 17″ pages are a letter from Dave Sim (signed also in ball point pen) explaining the campaign and giving stores permission to do whatever they want with the artwork provided in order to promote Cerebus.
